THE AIM OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Statutes of the CritCom Association for Critical Communication, adopted at the inaugural General Assembly held on 25.07.2023, state that the Association’s objectives are:
a) Provide a framework and a trail for workshops on critical infrastructure, complex governmental mobile broadband network and applications serving critical public protection and disaster response (PPDR) needs, complementing robust and reliable TETRA technology, based on international trends;
(b) facilitating and promoting workshops with critical communication emergency users,
owners and operators of sector-designated critical system components, facilities or systems, and plants handling hazardous materials with an upper threshold value and organisations joining to the users of TETRA technology;
c) facilitating the flow of information between the members of the Association and professional organisations outside the Association;
d) participating and contributing to the process of developing concepts, strategies and legislation affecting PPDR services;
e) cooperating with the TCCA (The Critical Communications Association).
In order to achieve its objectives, the Association carries out the following tasks:
a) monitoring professional development and technological changes;
b) maintaining contacts with international organisations involved in PPDR technology and, where possible, taking on tasks
in their work;
c) in view of the accelerating development of the communications and ICT sector, assisting in the use of broadband networks and devices in the field of critical rapid response communications, formulating recommendations in order to define common development directions;
d) coordinating the needs of developers, service providers and users, sharing their experiences;
e) contributing to the professional preparation of necessary spectrum management decisions;
f) providing professional support for the preparation of necessary legal regulations;
g) providing professional support for resource planning;
h) enhancing members’ expertise, participating in conferences on PPDR activities, holding professional lectures, thematic professional days and training sessions, publishing publications;
i) representing the importance of PPDR broadband rapid response network and services in the context of social responsibility;
j) representing members’ interests.
